    Creamy Cinnamon Roll Icing

    This classic confectioners icing is thick and pearly, but melts down beautifully when swept on top of the warm cinnamon rolls.

    List of Ingredients




    2 tbsp. unslated butter, softened
    2 cups unsifted confectioners sugar
    2 tbsp. plus 2 tsp. light table cream
    1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
    pinch of salt

    Recipe



    Place the butter and sugar in a medium sized mixing bowl. Add the cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Using an electric hand mixer, beat the ingredients on low speed until smooth, about 1 minute, scraping down the sides of the mixing bowl once or twice with a rubber spatula to keep the icing even textured. Immediately press a sheet of plastic wrap directly over the surface of the icing.

    Spread the icing over the tops of warm cinnamon rolls, letting it melt down slightly as it flows over the surface.
