    Best Lemonade

    Recipe Introduction

Every year my BIL, Brian generously sends us some of the bounty from his lemon tree. I've done all kinds of things with them, but this year I decided to go classic - Lemonade from scratch. It was the best lemonade I've ever made and one of the best I've ever tasted. I even made it with Splenda rather than sugar! If you make it with Splenda, you don't have to bother with the boiling water - the Splenda will dissolve in room temperature water. Serve VERY cold.

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 c. fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 c. sugar (or Splenda) - adjust to your taste
    1 c. boiling water
    7 c. ice-cold water

    For serving (optional):
    crushed ice
    thin slices of lemon

    Recipe

Dissolve the sugar in the 1 cup of boiled water (unnecessary if using Splenda). When it is completely dissolved, add 7 cups of ice water. Stir well. Serve with lots of crushed ice and lemon slices.

    Makes 1/2 gallon.
