Cinnamon Sugar Croissants

Recipe Introduction
This is just a quick croissant fix up that I adapted from ideas I found online. I used it one Sunday when I was a hostess at church and they disappeared FAST! No real measurements – just ingredients. For the croissants, you could use any that you prefer. And the nice thing is that fixing them up this way makes even ordinary grocery store croissants crisp and delicious. I love the mini Toufayan croissants, but I can only find them at Food Lion. When I took these to church, I brushed them with butter the night before and placed them in covered plastic containers (in one layer). I preheated the oven before the service and as soon as I got back to the kitchen, I sprinkled with the cinnamon sugar and put them in the oven. These are sweet, but you can also make them garlic/parmesan by subbing in minced garlic and grated parm for the cinnamon sugar. I think those would be great with spaghetti.
List of Ingredients
Croissants – any kind
Butter – should be soft enough to apply with a brush
Cinnamon sugar
Optional: honey, toasted sliced almonds
Recipe
Heat oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread/brush softened butter over the top of each croissant in an even layer. Place on baking sheet, giving each croissant a little room. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar (as much as you like).
Place in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown. If you like, you could drizzle with honey and sprinkle with toasted sliced almonds.
