    Tangy Barbecued Beef Sandwiches

    List of Ingredients




    4 pounds chuck roast, boneless, cut into 1/4 inch slices
    1 whole large onion, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    2 teaspoons ground mustard
    1 teaspoon chili powder
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1/3 cup cider vinegar
    1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
    3 tablespoons lemon juice
    1-3/4 cups ketchup
    22 oval shaped sandwich buns

    Recipe



    1. In 3- to 4- quart slow cooker, mix al ingredients except buns.

    2. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 5 to 6 hours, strring occasinally. Cut off top of each bun; pull some of bread out of each bun. Fill buns with beef mixture.

    Terri's Notes: I didn't cut the beef into slices. I shredded it after it had cooked. A little labor intensive, but still tasty.

    Servings: 8
    Yield: 22 sandwiches
