1 lb Italian sweet sausage, cut into chunks
2 8 oz cans tomatoe paste
1/2 onion, choppped
olive oil
1 t minced garlic
3 T basil
4 T oregano
salt
pepper
1 sm. can tomatoe chunksRecipe
Spread oil sparingly on bottom of pot. Brown chopped onion and garlic in oil. Add sausage and brown. Remove sausage, drain oil, leaving enough to coat pan. Add tomatoe paste and fill each empty can 8 times with water and stir. Bring to a slow boil and reduce to simmer. Add sausage and remaining ingredients. Simmer until sauce is thick, approx. 3 hours. Stir often.
