    Chowder: Squash Chowder

    List of Ingredients




    1- (20 0z) package Shaw’s diced butternut squash

    ¼ cup mild onion-diced

    1-14.5 oz. can Shaw's chicken broth

    1-15.25 oz. can Shaw's cream corn

    1/8 teaspoon Shaw's cinnamon

    1 tablespoon Shaw's sugar

    2 cups Shaw's milk

    Freshly ground pepper to taste

    Salt to taste

    Recipe



    Bring 1 quart of water to a boil in a saucepan. Add diced squash. Cover and cook until tender.

    Drain and place squash back into saucepan, and puree squash. For chunkier soup, break up squash with a fork

    Add onion, chicken broth, creamed corn, cinnamon and sugar to the saucepan. Bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.

    Add milk, stir and reduce heat to low.

    Cook for 10 minutes.

    DO NOT BOIL.

    Serve as an appetizer or main dish.

    SERVES 6-8
