Does Diet Pop Really Have 0 Calories?

    Source of Recipe

    e-mail from coke and snops.com and FDA.org

    List of Ingredients

Just because it say's 0 calories on the can doesn't mean it has 0 calories.

They do have caloric content from ingredients such as artifical sweeteners, citric acid and caramel coloring.
However the number of calories per 8-oz can is still just less than 1, and FDA regulation aloow any food product that contains fewer than 5 calories per serving to be advertised as calorie-free.

Most diet pop have around 1.3 calories per 8-oz
(with aspartame) and 1.8 calories per 12-oz can (with splenda) And some diet pops have 4 1/2 calories per 8-oz serving

By the way pop serving size is 8-oz

Just to let you know you would have to drink around 20
12-oz cans to have enough caloires to start counting points.

As for artifical sweeteners good for you, That's another subject all together.
