Napa Cabbage Salad

Recipe Introduction
Nannie first had this salad at a Home Extension luncheon.
List of Ingredients
- 1 - 2 large heads Napa cabbage
- 2 bunches green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup oil
- 2 T soy sauce
- 2 T oleo
- 1 small jar sunflower seeds
- 1 package slivered almonds
- 2 packages Ramen noodles (discard seasoning packet)
Instructions
- Wash and slice cabbage.
- Add green onions and set aside.
- Bring vinegar, sugar, oil and soy sauce to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Cool and refrigerate dressing (mixture will separate).
- Heat oleo. Add sunflower seeds, almonds and broken Ramen noodles.
- Lightly brown noodles in 250 degree oven. Cool and store in plastic bag.
- Mix shortly before serving.
Final Comments
Popular at cookouts and potlucks. Great with pork.
