    1/2 cup butter
    1/4 cup chopped walnuts OR 1/4 cup chopped pecans
    3 cups confectioners sugar
    4 tablespoons maple syrup (4 to 6 tablespoons)

    Thoroughly cream butter and sugar, adding maple syrup until light and spreadable. Add nuts and frost cake.
